Marci Zieff founded Creating Calm in 2007 and is a meditation expert, a Reiki Master and holds a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon-Do. Marci works with children, teens and adults to reduce stress and anxiety, facilitates group meditation classes, and offers both private meditation and Reiki sessions. Marci provides meditation and relaxation training incorporating a variety of techniques, including guided meditation, visualization, self-healing methods, gentle stretching and breath work. Each innovative guided meditation, created and written by Marci, offers a unique experience for each individual.
Marci has also developed a very successful stress reduction program for individuals with special needs, including those on the autism spectrum. She incorporates breath work, stretching, guided, walking and dance meditation into the program, allowing participants to calm and strengthen their bodies and minds.
In addition to offering meditation training and Reiki, Marci teaches an adaptive Tae Kwon-do class for children. Combining her love of Tae kwon-Do and meditation, the classes incorporate both martial arts moves and breathe work in a fun, noncompetitive environment.
Marci received a BA from the School of Education at University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA. She earned her second degree Black Belt from Giorgio’s Tae Kwon-Do and has taught martial arts since 2003.
Marci began her meditation practice over 10 years ago, and has studied with meditation masters in many different disciplines: Insight Meditation, Visualization, and Guided Meditation. She has also received training at the Kripalu Institute in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, studied Native American healing techniques and is a certified Reiki Master.
